Connecting Classrooms
Mr Khan chats to school governor Karen Allison at Hillside Harvest Fair |
Our school has linked with Central Model School in Khanewal, Multan, in Pakistan. This is part of the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms scheme. Children from the two schools have been learning about each other’s cultures and looking at the similarities and differences of school life. In September, Mr Khan, the head of the primary section of Central Model School, visited Hillside. During his stay, he met staff, children, governors and parents and was introduced to various aspects of Yorkshire culture, including fish and chips! Mrs Rogers and Mr Nunns have paid a reciprocal visit to Pakistan and received an extremely warm welcome. |
